Morgan Wallen gave fans something to talk about this weekend. Not only did he almost sell out both shows at Ohio Stadium (The Shoe) in Columbus, but he got rid of his signature mullet, too.
Fans lined up outside The Shoe as early as 5am on Friday (Aug. 11) to be first in line to get as close to Morgan in the pit as possible.
“We got here around 5:20 this morning,” said Aly Ziegler, a student at The Ohio State University to WBNS in Columbus. “Just being so close. We spent so much money. I’m so excited to be so close.”
Ziegler and her friend spent $750 on tickets for both shows at Ohio Stadium on Friday and Saturday nights.
When fans got in to see Wallen onstage at The Shoe, he shocked them by no longer having his signature mullet. When he came onto the stage he had a ball cap on, but fans could tell that his head was shaved.
Almost immediately pictures and videos showed up all over social media, like the one below from Tik Tok.
I haven’t seen a picture of Wallen without the ball cap on, but it’s safe to say he ain’t gonna look like the old ‘Mullet Morgan’.
Recently Wallen had shown up at a bar and performed karaoke. It only took a minute for people to recognize the voice, and the mullet, before pictures and videos started rolling. It may be a little easier for him to stay incognito with the new hair cut.
