Wayne County Fair Offers Three Country Shows

The Wayne County Fair welcomes Montgomery Gentry, Neal McCoy and Martina McBride to their grandstand entertainment schedule for the 168th edition of the fair in Wooster, Ohio.

Montgomery Gentry will take the stage on Sunday, September 10, with track seats costing $30, chairs and bleachers $25 and grandstand seats $20.

Neal McCoy will be the featured performer on Monday, September 11, with track seats going for $17, chairs and bleachers for $15 and grandstand seats for $13.

Martina McBride will perform on Tuesday, September 12, with tickets on the racetrack in front of the stage costing $32, chair and bleacher seats costing $27, and grandstand seating being $22.

Tanya Marty, a member of the fair’s entertainment committee, said she believes “We have a well-rounded group of entertainers.” Furthermore, she guarantees “There won’t be a bad seat in the house,” thanks to the fact that the concerts will be shown on two giant screen televisions, which will be brought in for the occasion.

The 16-by-9-foot video screens from IMAG will present an up-close view of the concerts, provided by film crews that will accompany them.

Marty said the screens were given a tryout at a grandstand event during last year’s fair, and proved hugely popular with the audience.

Asked about the fair board’s return to an all-country talent format after having incorporated other kinds of acts the past couple years, fair secretary Matt Martin said, “Don’t read anything into that. What we have is a solid lineup that all ages will enjoy.”

Tickets for all of the shows can be purchased at the Wayne County Fair website and at the fair’s box office.
